The Parable of the Two Builders

The Parable of the Two Builders (Matthew 7:24-27)

24 And so whosoever heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be like unto a prudent man that built his house upon a rock: 25 And theroar fell, and the waters came, and the swamps rose, and threw themselves upon the rock: but he fell not, for he  had fallen upon the rocks. 26 But everyman  He thatheareth these words of mine,  and hath not fulfilled them, shall be like unto him,and to him that is  pale, that set hishouseupon the sand. 27 And the flood fell, and the waters were stirred, and the rivers were lifted up, and they turned upon the Andhe fell, and his sonwas great. 28 When Jesushad finished these words, thecrowd was amazed at his teaching; 29 For he taught themas one having power, and not as theirservants.

The Parable of the Two Builders (Luke 6:47-49)

47 Do you know who is like him who hears these words of mine and does them? 48 He is like a man who  builta man, digging and digging, and laying his feet on the rock. When  the flood came, a  stream came over the river, but he could notmove it, because it was wellbuilt. 49 Whoeverhearsmy words and does not act on them is like aman. which exhibitson the ground without any problems. When the current came  upon it, it immediately rushed down, and the doorbehind the house was great.“

Lamp under the bucket

Statement about salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16)

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt be devoid of taste, wherewith shall it be salted? It is no longer of any use but to throw it out and people trample on it. 14 You are the light of the world. A city lying on a mountain cannot remain hidden. 15 And whenhe lighteth a lamp,  he puteth it not under theseason, but in the holyplace: and the light is  inhishouse. 16 And so the  holy light is in the sight of  men, that he may see the light of the world.Doyourgood deeds and give your message to yourFather in heaven.

The Light Meant for the Candlestick (Mark 4:21-25)

21 And he said to them, „Is the light coming, that it should be put under a vessel or under a bed, and not on a candlestick? 22 There is nothing hidden, that it may not be revealed, and nothing be hidden, except that it may be revealed. 23 He that heareth, hear. 24 And he said unto them, Pay attention to whatye hear. With what measureye measure, so Godhathmade us inhim, and he hath  been added. 25 For he  that hath hath shall be given: and he that hath not, that which hath shall be ofhim.“

Lamp under the bucket (Luke 8:16-18)

16 For no one shall light a light, and cover it with a vessel, or put it under the bed, but shall put it on a candlestick, that those who come in may see the light. 17 There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing hidden that will not be known and revealed. 18 Pay attention therefore to what you hear: For he who has will be given, and he who does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.“

Statements about light (Luke 11:33-36)

33 No one lighteth a light to put it in a corner or under a vessel, but puts it on a candlestick, that they that come in may see: 34 The light of thybodyis the eye. Ifthe TV eye  is  clean, the whole TVis also  light. If your eye  is bad, your    bodyis in darkness. 35 See  , then, and the lightin you is not dark. 36 If the whole body is holy.Thatthe earth and the desire of    its part will not be  in darkness, the whole will be as clear as ever the  light of its dawn.“

About children at the market

About the children in the marketplace (Matthew 11:16-19)

16 To what shall I liken this generation? He is like children who sit in the marketplace and cry out to their fellow-servants, 17 ‚We playedinthe game, and you did not dance; we said, and you did not wring your hands.18 And John went and didnot eat or drink, and said, He is possessed.19 And the Son of man went to the man, and he  eateth and drinks, and says, Behold, the lover of feasts  and drinks, the lover of feasts and drinks, the strangerofcustoms and sinsWow!’But wisdom is justifiedby itsworks.“

About the children in the marketplace (Luke 7:31-35)

31 To what shall I liken men of this generation? Who do they resemble? 32 They are likechildren who sit in the marketplace and cry  out to one another, saying, ‚We playedinthe game, and you did not dance; we said, and you did not weep. 33 JohntheEvangelistwent to the church, he did not eatbread and did not drink in the water, and  he said, ‚He is possessed.34 TheSon  of mancomes to the hunt, eats and drinks, and  says, ‚Behold, lovers of feasts  and drinks, the lovers of feasts and drinks, the proprietors of customs and sinsWow!35 But wisdom is justified in the use of all its children.“

About the seeder

The Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:1-23)

1 And Jesus went out of the house and sat down by the sea. 2 And a   great step  was  gathered to him, that he had to go into the boat, and sat down in it, and the wholestep stoodon the shore. 3 And he spake manyparables unto them, saying,  „Hewent out to  spread the word. 4 And when he  was spreading, some of the grains fell underthepaths, and the birds came and ate them. 5 And another fell on a rocky ground, wherethere was not enough earth, and immediately it came up, becauseit wasthat it was not deep in the ground. 6 But when the sun  rose, it slept: and because it didnot have a root, it withered. 7 And another fell among the  thorns, and the thorns grew and suffocated them. 8 And another grain fell intogood ground,  and gaveup aharvest of a hundred grains.  9 Whoever hasa voice hear.“

The Reason for Speech in Parables

10 And the disciples came unto him, and said, Why do thou speak unto them in parables? 11 And he said unto them, Therefore the mystery of the  kingdom of  heaven is known unto thee, it is not givenunto them. 12 To him that has, to him shall be given, and it shall be given to me. 13 Therefore I speak to themin parables, that which seeth not seeth them,  and that which hears neither hears  nor letthem be used. 14 And fullness Isaiah prophesies on them: ‚You will keephearing, and you will not understand, you will ceaseto see, and you will not see.  15 Forthe heart of this people is grown with fat, and they are not hearing with their ears, and they have shut their eyes, so that they will not see with their eyes, nor hear with their ears, nor understand with their heart, nor be converted: and I will not heal them.‘  16 Blessed is  your father, that he sees, and yourears, thathe hears. 17 Verily, I am truthful that many  prophets and righteousmen live in   thisTheyhave seenwhat you have seen, but have not seen, and heard what you have heard, but have notheard.

Interpretation of the Parable of the Sower

18 Hear ye therefore the interpretation of the parable of the sower. 19 Whenever a man heareth the  word of the kingdom of the kingdom and leavesthesow,  the evil one shall come fromit, and shall pluck up that which was sown in his heart: that is, he with whom the sow was sown under him.l roads. 20 With whom it was sown on the rockyground, that is, he thatheareth the  word, and immediately  rejoiceth it with joy  : 21 but it is not finishedin him, and it is not ended, when shall he come to me,  or 22 With whom it has been sown in thorns, that is, he who hears the word, but  the  cares of honour and the richness of his possessions suffocate the word, and he is left without fruit. 23 With whom it has been sown in good  soil, that is he who hears the word andApe a nail on the other, one with one  , the otherwith a six-second one, and three with one.“

The Parable of the Sower (Mark 4:1-20)

1 He began to teach again by the sea. Such a great crowd gathered to him that he had to get on board a ship at sea; He sat down in it, and the whole crowd was on the shore. 2 Hetaught many things in his parables. In his teaching, he said to them, 3 „Hear!  4 And when he was  spreading, a  grain fell underthepath, and the birdscameand ate them. 5 And another fell on the rocky ground, where there was no and the earth was enough, and immediately it came up, because it was not deep in the earth. 6 But when the sun  rose, it slept: and because it hadnoroot, it withered. 7 And another fell  into thorns, and the thorns grew, and suffocated them, and the grain did not yield fruit. 8 And other grains fell into the good the earth andthe earth, it grew,  it gave birth and it brought in the  harvest of threethousand and sixtythousand and seven thousand and  tag. 9 And  he said, „He who hears, hears!“

The Reason for Speech in Parables

10 And when he was alone, those who were with him and the twelve asked him what the parables meant. 11 He saidunto them,  The mysteryof the kingdom of God is known to me; But to those who are outside, it is all the way to go, 12 so that ‚they may lookand see, but not see, and listen and hear, but letthem burn, lest they turn away and be forgiven.'“

Interpretation of the Parable of the Sower

13 He said to them, „Do you not understand this parable? How do you understand everyone else? 14  15 These are the ways where the word is spread: When Satan hears  it, he immediately comes from the mouth, and takes the word that is  sown in them. 16 And so do  those with whomhe it is sown on the rocky ground: it hears the  word, and immediately it is glad to receive it. 17 And they are not finished in theirsins, and they are not dead; when is it coming  or the 18 Othersare sown in thorns: they hear the  word, 19 but the cares of time, the richness of possessions, and the covetousness of other things, penetrate into the interior, and suffocate the word, so that it remains without fruit. 20 And then there are those with whom it  is sown in good And they   hear the  word, and they have it, and they bear  the fruit of three thousand and sixty and six.“

The Parable of the Sower (Luke 8:4-15)

4 And the people came to him in great multitudes, and they came from many cities. He spoke to them in a parable: 5 „He  went out to sowseed. And whenhe was spreading, a grain fell underthepath, and wastrampled upon, and the birdsate it up. 6 Others fell on the rock, and rose up and withered, because there wasnowater. 7  And the  thorns fell with them, and suffocated them. 8 And another fell into the  good ground, and grew, and brought forth good pleasure.“ Thus  he said and exclaimed: „Whoever has heard hears, hear.“

The Reason for Speech in Parables

9 His disciples asked what the parable meant. 10 He said, „The mysteriesof God’s kingdom are made known to me, but the rest are only in parables, so that those who see may not seeand hearLeave the smoke on the floor.

Interpretation of the Parable of the Sower

11 This parable means: The seed is the word of God. 12 Bythe way,  these are those who hear, but then the devil comes, and takes the word out of their hearts, so that they do not believeand be saved. 13 On theSkálle,  these are the ones who  And those who are   happy to hear the  word when they  hear it, because there is  no end in them, but they believe only for a few timesand  for a while. 14 The seed that has fallen into thorns are those who  have heard, but then they are cares, and possessions, and the pleasures of the life of the soul,so that they do not bear fruit. 15 The seed ina good  land is those who have fallen asleep they  keep it in a good and sincere heart, and with perseverance they bear fruit.

Weeds among wheat

The parable of the weeds among the wheat (Matthew 13:24-30)

24 He gave them another parable: „The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 And when  the men were asleep, his enemycame to him, and sowed the weeds in the wheat, and departed. 26 And when the old earth  had grown, and set it on the ear of corn, the weeds also appeared. 27 And the  servants of the householdercameAnd they said to him, ‚Lord, whyhave you not sown good seed in yourfield? Where did weeds come from?28 And he said unto them, The enemy hath done this: and the  servants shall say unto  him, ShallI be uprooted and the weeds? 29 And he said, No, for in the process of pulling up the weeds you would also uproot the wheat. 30 Let it grow together,   and it  grows together, and it grows  together: and at  the same timeI will say to the wives, „Gather up the weeds first, and Tie it up in an otabakery to sleep, but put the dog in my barn.'“

Interpretation of the parable of the weeds (Matthew 13:36-43)

36 Then he left the crowds and went into the house. The disciples came to him and said to him, „Tell us the parable of the weeds in the field.“ 37 And he said unto them   ,  The sower that  sowethforth good  seed is the Son  of man, 38 and the field is holy. The weeds are the sons of the evilone; 39 The enemywho sowed them is the devil. 40    So as weeds are gathered and  fires are burned, so will the end of the fire. 40 So as  weeds are gathered and fires are burned, so will the end  of the41 The son of man shall sendforth his angel, and they shall take out of his kingdomevery stumbling block, and every one that doeth iniquity, 42 and cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be a plaintiff and a hiding of his teeth.. 43 Then the righteous shall shine like the sun in the kingdom of  theirFather. Who hasa shi , listen!“

The parable of the sown seed (Mark 4:26-29

The Parable of the Fishing Net (Matthew 13:47-50)

I tell you that their angels in heaven are always close to My Heavenly Father. 11 Always the Son  of man came to save that which was lost. 12 What do you think? Ifa man has a hundred sheep,  and one of them goes astray, does not leave  thetwentyandnineof themon the mountains, and does not go in search of the one that has gone astray? 13 And if it is said to him that it is right for him, verily, I am right,  And more   than the ninety and nine that  have not gone astray shall  rejoice in it. 14 And so  it is inthe will of yourheavenlyFather, lest one of these little ones perish.

Have you not made a treaty with me daybyday? 14 Take what is yours and go. 15 I willnot do with mypossessionswhat I will? He finally sent him to them and said to himself: ‚They will take my son into account.’ 7 But the guiltyones said to one another, ‚This isthegrandfather. Come, we will kill him, and the children will be ours. 8 And they caught him, and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard. 9 What did the  vineyard do? 10   Have you notreadthe word in Scripture,  ‚The stonethat the  builders rejected has become  a cornerstone;  11 And the LORD hath done this, and is it marvellous in our people?12 And they did not  want to take possession of Jesus, for they knew that he had spokenthis parableagainst them, but they were afraid of the people. And they left him and went away.

The Parable of the Wicked Husbandmen (Luke 20:9-19)

9 Then he began to tell the people this parable: „A certain man planted a vineyard, rented it to husbandmen, and traveled away for a long time. 10 At the appointedtimehe sent a servant to the vineyard to give him the land of the vineyard. 11 And he sent another  servant to them, and they smote him, and dishonored him, and sent him backwith the truth. 12 And he sent them forth with the third sentence. 12 And he sent them forthho; they also beat him to death and drove him out. 13 And  the vineyard said, What shall Isay? Bysending theirbelovedson, perhaps they willtake him into consideration.’ 14 And when they had spoken of him in the face of theguilt, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This istheheir, let us kill him, and the fruit shall be ours. 15 And they dragged him out of the vineyard and killed him.  16 And    when they heard   this,  they said, „That is not the case! 17 And he looked at them and said, „What then is the meaning of the  word Psalm, ‚The templewhich the  builders rejected has become  a cornerstone?18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be scattered, and on whomsoever it shall fall, he shall be crushed.19 And the horsemen and the chief princes were about to get his hands on him at that hour, but they were afraid of the people. for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them.

He replied: ‚Yes, sir. 31 Which of thesetwo fulfilled hisfather’s will?“ They  answered: „The first one! Jesus said to them, „Truly,I am right, thatthe tax collectors and the infidels are going before me to the kingdom of God. 32 John came to mein the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicansand the intellectualsbelieved him. The cattle are slaughtered, everythingisprepared; come to the wedding. 5 But they paid no heed, and departed, one to his field, andthe other  to histrade. 6 And the rest seized his servants, and shamefully  slew them, and killed them. 7 Then the king was angry, and sent his armies, and destroyed the murderers, and burned their city. 8 And  he said to hisHe said, „The wedding isready, but the invitees were not worthy of it; 9 therefore goto the crossroads, and invite whomsoever you findto the wedding.10 And the servants went out into the journeys, and gathered togetherall that they  found, both evil and good, and the marriage chambers were filled with diners.

About banquets (Luke 14:7-14)

7 When he saw the guests choosing the first seats, he told them this parable: 8 „If anyone invites anyoneto a wedding, do not sit down before;  And  there may beone among those who are invited who are not you  , and the one whohas invited both of you will come and say, 9 ‚Give him your powerhundred!  10 But if you are invited, go and sit down in the last place, and then the one who invited  youwill come and say,  ‚Friends, come ahead. ‚Thenhe will  have many things before hisguests. 11 For everyone who exalts himselfwill be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.‘  12 Jesus said to the one who invited him, „Whether you eator drink, do not hang your  friends, nor your brothers, nor your relatives  and rich neighbors.   13 But if thou shalt give a feast, thou shalt invite  the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. 14 Blessed are thee, for they have not.And I will repay you, but you will be repaid by the resurrection of the  righteous. „

The Parable of the Banquet (Luke 14:15-24)

And they mustspeak, and they shall hear myvoice, and there shall be one stand, one shepherd. 17 Therefore the  Father loves me, thathehath givenhis  life inme, that I may renew it.18 No one takes it away from me, but I give itaway from myself. I havethepower  to give my lifeand I havethe power to accept it again. I have received such a command from my Father.“  19 And the Jews again  fell into disarraybecause  of these words, and many  of them said, „He is possessed by  an evil spirit, and he isfoolish. Why do  you listen to him?21 Otherssaid, „Do not speak so  that you are possessed. What can an evil spirit opento the blind?“

About the tribe and branches

About the tribe and the branches (John 15:1-11)

1 „I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. 2 Everybranch of mine that beareth not fruit shall be cleansed, and every branch that beareth fruit  shall be cleansed, that it may bearmore fruit  : 3 Yehave cleansed it because of the word which I have spoken  unto us. 4 OftheBe in me, and be in all things. As a branch cannot bearfruit of itself, until it becomes before the trunk, so neither can you, until you stand in me. 5 Iam the vine, and you are the branches. He that abideth in me,  and abides in me, beareth forth much fruit: for without  meye can donothing. 6 Whosoever abideth notin me shall be cast out as a branch, and wither: and it shall be gathered up, and cast into the fire, and burned. 7 Ofthese, if ye shall be cast in me,   8 8 My Father will be glorified to me, when you will bear much fruit and be myservants. 9 As the Father has loved me, so I have loved me.  10  Preserve your pair, you will become a part  of your life. He has  kept hisFather’s name, and he has beenin his love. 11 This is what I have said That my joy may be in myheart, and that yourjoy may be full.“
